Walk to Remember
Honouring Little Lives Lost!

Walk to Remember (WTR) is a day for parents, families and friends to remember and celebrate those babies who have been lost through miscarriage, stillbirth, SIDS, neonatal and infant death.

So often, people have to quietly grieve and mourn the loss of their babies. WTR is a beautiful day that allows those often unspoken names to be read, remembered, openly talked about and shared.

2020 Event Schedule

The eighth annual Walk to Remember will be held on Saturday, September 26th, 2020 virtually beginning at 1pm to 2pm

Registration and Activities

  • Program starts at 1:00 PM. Babies names will be read, written and shared.
  • Anytime during that weekend families are invited to walk through Muskoseepi Park to see the written baby names on the sidewalk.
  • Please attend when your schedule allows or do a walk wherever you are.

Support the Walk to Remember

Support the Walk to Remember and the Parent Bereavement Program. Walk to Remember apparel is available here. A portion of all sales directly supports Tiny Hands of Hope. Because each item is custom made, orders placed after September 13, 2020, may not be available for the 2020 Walk to Remember.

Support the Parent Bereavement Fund

You can also help support the Parent Bereavement Fund this year. This fund was created with the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital Foundation in 2013 to help provide extra resources and support to families that suffer pregnancy and infant loss here at home. We have been able to provide precious mementos through the year because of this fund plus purchasing cuddle cot inserts to give the families more time to say goodbye. Our goal this year is to raise $1500 for this fund - to donate go to https://gphospitalfoundation.ca/donate/ and choose PARENT BEREAVEMENT in the drop down menu. All $20+ donations will receive a tax receipt.
